Tasks: Monitoring of troop-withdrawal and freedom of movement, monitoring of human rights and repatriation of refugees, cooperation with local authorities, rebuilding of civil society and confidence-building between fractions.

EUBAM Libya (EU Border Assistance Mission in Libya)

Strength of contingent: 5 police officers, currently 1

Tasks: The Mission aims to support the Libyan authorities to develop capacity for enhancing the security of Libya's land, sea and air borders in the short term and to develop a broader IBM strategy in the longer term.

EUAM Ukraine (European Union Advisory for Civilian Security Sector Reform)

Tasks: In support of Ukraine’s commitments to SSR, the non-executive civilian CSDP Mission is mentoring and advising relevant Ukrainian bodies in the elaboration of renewed security sector strategies and in the consequent implementation of relevant comprehensive and cohesive reform efforts.

Missions - Palestine

EUBAM Rafah (EU Border Assistance Mission in Rafah)

Duration of deployment: November 24th 2005 thru December 31th 2017

Strength of contingent: 2 police officers

Tasks: EU Support Mission for verification and evaluation of the border control at Rafah.

The aim of the Mission is to provide a third party presence at the Rafah Crossing Pont in order to contribute to its opening and operation in accordance with the „Agreement on Movement und Access“, to build confidence between the Government of Israel and the Palestinian Authorities and to enhance the PA border agencies capacity.

EUPOL COPPS (EU Police Coordindation Office for Palestinian Police Support)

Duration of deployment: January 1st 2006 thru December 31th 2017

Strength of contingent: 2 police officers

The aim of the Mission is to support Palestinian Authorities in building a Civil Police, with a sufficient capacity to sustain a transparent and accountable police organization, which is operating with in a sound legal framework and in accordance with international standard.

Tasks: Monitoring the local Croat police; until January 15th 1998 setting upwards and monitoring the local TPF (Transitional Police Force), consisting of Serbs and Croats.
